During this course, dentists will be introduced to the possibilities and principles of rehabilitation of the edentulous mandible from both surgical and prosthetic perspectives. Various clinical scenarios will be reviewed, covering the entire workflow—from treatment planning to prosthetic restoration with both temporary and permanent dental prostheses.
The course will also present the new LEGO BRIDGE STYLE prosthetic concept.
This course is intended for clinicians who wish to start restoring implant-supported prostheses, as well as for experienced practitioners seeking to deepen and refine their knowledge in implant prosthetics.
During the course, the following topics will be covered:
• Types of threaded dental implants and their components.
• Preparation for taking impressions from dental implant(s).
• Impression techniques: open-tray, closed-tray, and digital.
• Principles and clinical rationale for the selection of prosthetic abutments.
• Sequential workflow of clinical treatment stages.
• Characteristics of dental implant fixation methods: cement-retained, cement–screw–retained, screw-retained, and conometric.
• Biological and functional considerations in the selection of geometries and materials for screwless prostheses supported by multi-unit abutments.
• Hands-on opportunity to place various types of threaded implants into artificial jaw models.
• Live demonstration of clinical procedures related to implant placement (subject to feasibility).
