During this course, participants will be introduced to contemporary treatment concepts for the rehabilitation of the edentulous maxilla, with particular emphasis on surgical approaches and their impact on the final prosthetic outcome. Clinical workflows will be presented, covering the entire treatment pathway—from initial patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning to implant placement and definitive prosthetic rehabilitation using both provisional and definitive restorations.
The course will also introduce the concept of screwless implant-supported prosthetic retention.
Upon completion of the course, participants will have gained knowledge of:
- the design, structure, and key components of dental implant systems
- the principles and stages of surgical and prosthetic implant treatment planning
- various clinical scenarios for All-on-X implant rehabilitation
- the principles and clinical rationale for selecting prosthetic abutments
- conventional and digital impression techniques, including open-tray, closed-tray, and digital workflows
- different methods of implant-supported prosthesis retention, including cement-retained, screw-retained, screwless, and other fixation concepts
- the biological, functional, and aesthetic criteria for selecting prosthetic restorative materials
- the clinical evaluation and selection of prosthetic components
- the main types of implant-supported prosthetic restorations and their application in everyday clinical practice

• Threaded dental implants: design and key components
• Clinical treatment workflow: surgical and prosthetic planning, various clinical scenarios for All-on-X implant rehabilitation, indications for selecting different implant designs, and prosthetic procedures from impression taking to delivery of provisional and definitive restorations
• Clinical rationale for prosthetic abutment selection
Impression techniques: conventional (open-tray and closed-tray) and digital workflows

• Implant prosthesis retention concepts: cement-retained, screw-cement-retained, screw-retained, screwless, and screwless restorations on multi-unit abutments
• Biological, functional, and aesthetic considerations in the selection of restorative materials for implant-supported prostheses

Hands-on Session

• Implant placement in artificial jaw models
• Practical evaluation of prosthetic components and the clinical rationale for their selection (including multi-unit bases and screwless multi-unit abutments)

17:00–18:00 Visit to the dental implant manufacturing facility in Kaunas (subject to technical availability).
